The connector is part of the wiring harness. (I believe Ford is the only company that does this) In my quest to find parts for my cars I have also collected Ford and Lincoln/Mercury Master Parts Catalogs to understand other possibilities or matches for parts I seek. And some people will list the engineering number because it is all they have. In this specific case both numbers are close. I stated this because if you want to search by part number using the correct number may have better results. The number listed on the part it's self is not a part number it is an engineering number. I'll have to 'MacGyver' some way of holding the plastic piece onto the metal case. Originally I was having issues with wipers working occasionally, so with a bit of misdirected newbie enthusiasm, I pulled it apart and that'e when it broke. I broke that holding tab when I opened the switch. I've found this which shows the front, I reckons it's a slide switch. At that stage I didn't think they were that hard to find, or as expensive. I don't have a welder and can't weld, so I thought this was the next best avenue. I spoke to a auto electrician soon after I broke it, he said perhaps it could be soldered, but wasn't sure about the strength. Yeah, the copper price should form a U shape. And based on other prices, even if I don't need or use it, I reckon I'll be able to find some here in Aust that may need it at some point. Yep, for $29 US, I grabbed it, as you'll see in the link below, it's a steal at that price.
